The Department of English was started in 2010. It provides teaching in English both General and Alternative as per the course prescribed by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. It serves in other activities like extra class, oral test, spoken English besides classroom teaching. Improvement of students’ speaking and writing skills along with proper knowledge in English is the motto of the department.
